Platelet-Rich Fibrin Hair Treatment

PRF Hair

PRF HAIR IN LONDON

I-PRF (injectable platelet-rich fibrin) is 100% natural, free of additives and chemicals, and packed with powerful cells for hair regrowth purposes.

PRF HAIR PROCEDURE

First, we take a small amount of your own blood and process it in a special low-force centrifuge.  Thus, this process separates the platelets, cytokines, and other growth factors.

Secondly, the substance is injected into some area of the scalp where the platelets will bind to a scaffold of fibrin. Subsequently, the growth factors are gradually released for up to one week.

By increasing the blood supply to the hair follicles, the necessary nourishment stimulates new follicle growth. Moreover, i-PRF revives “dormant” hair follicles and gets them to return to the growth phase.  In essence, this is natural engineering targeted to regrow your hair.

Finally, this is a relatively painless procedure as we use the U225 Meso injection device. If you want a natural hair loss treatment then look no further.

FAQs ON PRF

Platelet-Rich Fibrin for hair loss

After the resounding success of the Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP therapy at Nar London, we bring you another innovative form of the autologous treatment called Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF). This relatively new therapy is highly effective in the healing of wounds but also for skin rejuvenation and for hair loss.

What is Platelet Rich Fibrin?

Similar to PRP, Platelet-Rich Fibrin originates from your own blood. Indeed, PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, uses your body’s own stem cells to stimulate collagen production, tissue regeneration, and hair re-growth.

First, we take a small sample of your blood and place the tubes in an advanced centrifugal system that spins them at a slower speed than PRP. Subsequently, the blood separates into three components :

  • plasma,
  • red blood cells,
  •  And a highly concentrated layer of white blood cells and platelets.

As a result, we obtain the PRF solution that is rich in growth and healing factors. Ultimately, these compounds speed up healing and contain growth factors that we use to stimulate your hair follicles.

Once we inject the PRF into the tissue it transforms from a liquid into a gel, which provides a powerful regenerative matrix that releases platelets’ growth factors in a physiological controlled slow manner. Usually, the release takes one week whereas with PRP it is immediate.

Consequently, the hair follicles treated with PRF will immediately be reinvigorated and begin to stimulate dormant hair follicles and grow new hair follicles. Over time, the hair will strengthen and become thicker. Typically, results can be seen within two to six months as hair growth is a slow process by nature.

What is PRF and how does it work for hair restoration treatment?

Practitioners worldwide use PRF to stimulate the growth of follicles, thereby reversing the hair miniaturisation (thinning hair) seen in androgenic alopecia (common baldness).

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), similar to PRP, is a substance derived from your own blood that plays a crucial role in hair regeneration treatment. PRF utilizes your body’s own stem cells to stimulate collagen production, tissue regeneration, and hair re-growth. To create PRF, a small blood sample is taken and processed in an advanced centrifugal system, separating it into plasma, red blood cells, and a concentrated layer of white blood cells and platelets. This resulting PRF solution is enriched with growth and healing factors that accelerate the healing process and stimulate hair follicles.

When injected into the scalp, PRF transforms from a liquid into a gel, providing a potent regenerative matrix that slowly releases growth factors over time. This controlled release, which differs from the immediate release of PRP, aids in rejuvenating dormant hair follicles and promoting the growth of new hair follicles. As a result, treated hair follicles are reinvigorated, leading to increased hair density, improved thickness, and reduced hair loss. The gradual nature of hair growth means that visible results typically manifest within two to six months of undergoing PRF treatment.

Benefits of PRF treatment for hair loss?

This is a 100% natural treatment that can help:

  • Nourish follicles;
  • Improve hair thickness;
  •  Stimulate the regenerative process;
  •  Revive dormant hair follicles;
  •  Decrease hair thinning & hair shedding;
  •  Promote healing;
  •  Invigorate Hair’s natural growth processes;
  •  Get long Lasting Results.
  •  The positive effect is visible after a few sessions

How does PRF work for hair loss?

As you probably know, androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of chronic hair loss, affecting both men and women. In women, hair loss is usually throughout the scalp. In men, hair loss is usually along the front hairline (receding hairline) or balding on the top of the scalp. In AGA, hair follicles start to shrink and die due to lack of blood supply and insufficient nourishment.

Thereupon, PRF helps stimulate hair growth in patients with AGA by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles. The increase in blood supply provides nourishment to hair follicles, which increases follicle diameter and leads to thicker hair shafts. The increase in nourishment also stimulates new follicle growth, and thus potential new hair growth.

Is Platelet Rich Fibrin Safe?

Indeed, PRF treatments are very safe. In part, the treatment relies on your own cells, so there is very little risk of adverse reactions. Moreover, we do not use any artificial additives in this treatment. The end result is a therapy that uses only the purest form of fibrin and rich platelets. Eventually, these compounds help in stimulating hair follicles and achieve great natural results. Lastly, there is very little to no discomfort during the procedure itself as we use the painless U225 mesogun.

The PRF procedure

  1. Blood draw: We gently take a few tubes of blood from the patient in a standard blood draw. Just a small amount of blood is needed.
  2. Centrifugation: Then, we place the PRF tubes into a special centrifuge to isolate a layer of cells that are highly rich in platelets.
  3. Extraction: Thereafter, we carefully extract the layer of cells to create your own PRF treatment solution.
  4. Injection: Finally, we inject your unique PRF into your scalp at the level of the hair follicles, about every half inch over the entire area of thinning hair. The injection session takes about 30 minutes or so.
  5. Repeat: We typically recommend repeating the treatment once a month for three to four months. Most patients start to see results in 3 to 6 months and elect to have a maintenance treatment 1 to 2 times a year after the initial treatment series to reinforce their results.

You can also have mesotherapy or Hyaluronic Acid with PRF treatments. Studies have demonstrated faster and more marked improvements in hair growth when both PRF and Mesotherapy are combined.

How should I prepare for the PRF for hair regrowth treatment?

Inherently, the results vary from person to person and it depends on the quality of your own platelets and growth factors in your body. Henceforth, keep in mind that the healthier you are, the better your results will be. Therefore, you should rest, hydrate well, and eat a well-balanced healthy diet before the treatment. Furthermore, you should avoid smoking or vaping as well as consumption of alcoholic beverages. Additionally, please avoid taking anticoagulants for 72 hours prior to treatment.

Downtime with PRF?

Generally there is virtually no downtime. When the procedure is over, the patient can leave and immediately go back to their normal daily activities.

How does PRF compare to other methods such as medications, topical solutions, hair transplants in addressing hair loss?

PRF hair treatment offers a natural alternative compared to traditional methods of addressing hair loss, such as medications, topical solutions, and hair restoration surgery. As you probably know, androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of chronic hair loss, affecting both men and women. In women, hair loss is usually throughout the scalp, while in men, hair loss is typically along the front hairline or on the top of the scalp. In AGA, hair follicles start to shrink and die due to a lack of blood supply and insufficient nourishment. PRF helps stimulate hair growth in patients with AGA by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles, providing them with the necessary nourishment. This increase in blood supply promotes the thickening of hair shafts and stimulates new follicle growth, potentially leading to new hair growth. Unlike some medications that may have side effects and require consistent application, PRF treatment directly targets dormant follicles and nourishes the scalp through non-invasive injections. Moreover, PRF stands out as a holistic solution for hair restoration, utilizing the body’s regenerative properties to promote natural hair growth and improve hair health without the need for synthetic substances or invasive surgical procedures.

How can PRF hair treatment change one’s hair journey?

Unlocking the potential for a transformative hair journey, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) treatment offers a natural engineering solution to rejuvenate your hair. By enhancing the blood supply to the hair follicles, PRF provides the necessary nourishment to stimulate new follicle growth, reviving ‘dormant’ follicles and prompting them to transition back to the growth phase. The positive effects of this revitalization become visible within a few sessions, with each treatment session lasting approximately 45 minutes. For optimal results, it is recommended to undergo PRF sessions at 4-6 week intervals, requiring minimal downtime or none at all. Suitable for all hair types, this innovative approach suggests 3 to 6 sessions per year for long-term visible outcomes, ensuring a healthier and fuller-looking mane.

Any other use of PRF Therapy?

Sure, Platelet Rich Fibrin Therapy is also great for skin rejuvenation. Moreover, It is used to erase issues like crow’s feet in the corners of the eyes, and hollows under the eyes also called tear troughs. Finally, PRF is also used to treat acne scars.
