Collagen stimulation. Improved skin quality. Firmer looking skin.
Hyperdilute Radiesse® is an injectable calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) biostimulator. It improves skin firmness, elasticity and texture. Rather than adding conventional volume or changing the shape of your features, the hyperdilute approach spreads CaHA more broadly through the treated tissue. As a result, the focus moves towards biostimulation and progressive tissue remodelling.
At NAR LONDON on Harley Street, Hyperdilute Radiesse® is used for carefully selected areas where the skin has become thinner, less firm, less elastic or crepey. The aim is to help your skin look firmer, smoother and healthier.
Hyperdilute Radiesse® contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. When we use a diluted or hyperdiluted preparation, the CaHA spreads more broadly through the treated tissue. This reduces the volumising effect and allows a greater focus on biostimulation and skin quality.
The CaHA microspheres stimulate processes linked to new collagen and elastin formation. Over time, the body absorbs the gel and gradually breaks down the CaHA, while the tissue continues to remodel.
This is not conventional filler. We do not aim to create cheek volume, sharpen the jawline or change your facial proportions. Instead, the goal is better skin quality, firmness and resilience.
With age, collagen and elastin decline. As a result, the skin can become thinner, less elastic and more crepey, particularly on the neck, décolletage and hands.
Hyperdilute Radiesse® works through biostimulation rather than volume replacement. It does so in three stages.
First, distribution. The diluted CaHA spreads through the targeted tissue, covering a broader area rather than creating a concentrated volume effect.
Second, biostimulation. The CaHA microspheres stimulate processes associated with collagen and elastin formation.
Third, remodelling. Over the following weeks and months, the newly formed tissue can improve firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality.
The result is gradual improvement, not an instant transformation.
We can use Hyperdilute Radiesse® to improve:
It is not designed to remove significant excess skin, reduce excess fat or replace substantial facial volume.
Hyperdilute Radiesse® can suit you if your skin looks thinner, less firm or less elastic. It can also help if you want to improve skin quality without conventional filler volume..
It may be particularly appropriate if you:
There is no fixed ideal age. Suitability depends on your skin quality, degree of laxity, anatomy and goals.
For selected areas where firmness and elasticity have reduced. Hyperdilute Radiesse® is not used directly under the eyes or in the tear trough.
For crepey texture, fine lines and reduced firmness.
For skin affected by sun exposure, fine lines, crepey texture and reduced elasticity.
For thin, crepey-looking skin on the backs of the hands.
For selected patients with mild laxity and thin, crepey or loose-looking skin.
For selected cases where the main concern is skin quality and laxity rather than excess fat.
Improves Skin Firmness
As the tissue remodels, skin can look firmer and more resilient.
Softens Crepey Texture
Particularly useful for thin, crepey or finely textured skin.
Stimulates Collagen and Elastin
CaHA stimulates biological processes associated with collagen and elastin formation within the treated tissue.
Improves Skin Quality
When appropriately diluted, CaHA can be distributed more broadly with the emphasis placed on biostimulation and tissue quality rather than creating volume. Expert consensus and clinical literature support this approach for selected facial and body areas.
Natural-Looking Results
The objective is not to change the shape of your face unnecessarily, but to restore support where it has been lost while allowing collagen-related improvements to develop progressively.
Your appointment begins with a consultation to assess your skin, medical history, anatomy and goals. We also look at facial proportions, skin quality, volume distribution, structural support and previous aesthetic treatments before deciding whether Hyperdilute Radiesse is appropriate and where it should be placed.
Treatment technique depends on the objective. In some patients, Radiesse is used to provide structural support and contour. In others, a more diluted preparation may be selected when the priority is biostimulation and skin quality.
The treatment itself usually takes approximately 45-60 minutes. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur afterwards. You will receive personalised aftercare instructions following your treatment.
Hyperdilute Radiesse® is designed to produce progressive results. Over time, the skin may look firmer, smoother, more elastic and less crepey. The speed and degree of change vary between individuals and treatment areas.
The biological response develops more gradually. As collagen and elastin formation is stimulated, additional changes in firmness, support and tissue quality can develop over the following weeks and months.
At NAR LONDON, the aim is subtle, progressive improvement rather than an obviously treated appearance.
There is no single schedule that suits everyone. The number of treatments depends on the area, your skin quality, degree of laxity, age-related changes, goals and individual response.
When Radiesse is being used primarily for biostimulation or skin-quality improvement, a course of treatment may be recommended.
The appropriate number of sessions depends on:
Your recommended treatment plan will be discussed during consultation.
Treatment: Hyperdilute Radiesse® calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) biostimulation
Treatment areas: Face, neck, décolletage, hands, upper arms and selected abdominal areas
Treatment time: Approximately 45 to 60 minutes
Approach: Individualised according to skin quality, area and goals
Results: Progressive improvement in firmness, elasticity and skin quality
Downtime: Usually minimal. Temporary swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising may occur.
Maintenance: Individualised according to area and response
Evidence note: Clinical studies support diluted CaHA for skin quality and laxity. The strength of evidence varies between treatment areas, so suitability is assessed individually.
A diluted calcium hydroxylapatite treatment used mainly for collagen biostimulation and skin quality. It is designed to improve firmness, elasticity and texture rather than create conventional filler volume.
It is not intended to create the volumising effect of a dermal filler. Diluting the CaHA spreads it more broadly, with the focus on biostimulation and skin quality.
Results develop gradually over weeks and months. It does not produce an instant transformation.
There is no standard number. Your plan depends on the area, your skin quality and your goals, and is confirmed after assessment.
No. The CaHA is gradually broken down by the body, while the tissue response it stimulates can contribute to longer-term changes. Individual results vary.
No. We do not use it directly under the eyes or in the tear trough. For that area we offer PRF Under-Eyes and selected polynucleotide treatments.
Downtime is usually minimal. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur, and you will receive personalised aftercare advice.
Radiesse® has an established history of aesthetic use, but it is still a medical treatment and carries potential risks. Your medical history is assessed before treatment, and the risks are discussed as part of your consent.
Treatment may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or in certain medical circumstances.
RADIESSE® has specific manufacturer indications that vary according to the product, formulation and treatment area. In the UK, Merz Aesthetics states that RADIESSE® and RADIESSE+ are intended for deep dermal and sub-dermal soft-tissue augmentation of the facial area and dorsum of the hands. Merz also states that RADIESSE® diluted 1:2 with 0.9% sterile saline is indicated for moderate and severe décolleté wrinkles.
Other diluted or hyperdiluted applications used in aesthetic practice may fall outside the manufacturer’s listed indications. Where this applies, we will explain the nature of the treatment and discuss it as part of your consultation and consent process.
Yes, in selected patients. The neck, hands, décolletage, upper arms and abdomen can be treated where the main concern is skin quality and laxity. Suitability varies by area and patient, and is confirmed at consultation.
No. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, CaHA cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. This is one reason careful patient selection is important.
They work differently. Profhilo® focuses mainly on hydration and overall skin quality. Hyperdilute Radiesse® uses CaHA to support firmness, elasticity and crepey skin. Your consultation will help you decide which, if either, is right for you.
NAR LONDON is a Harley Street clinic focused on regenerative aesthetics and natural-looking results. We don’t add volume simply because it is available. We assess the quality, firmness and elasticity of your skin first.
If your skin has become thinner, less firm or increasingly crepey, we will assess your skin and advise whether Hyperdilute Radiesse® is appropriate for you. Either book directly the treatment online or a consultation (£50 that can be redeemed towards treatment within 3 months).
